Players will be brought through age appropriate softball drills by IST's Pro Staff to help them develop their hitting, fielding, catching and throwing technique

All clinics are run at I.S.T. Sports Headquarters and are run by I.S.T. Pro staff including Pam Mazzarella, Elliot Morales, Ronnie Sherman, Christina Wolf and maintain a 1:5 Maximum player to coach ratio to ensure all players are receiving maximum repetition during each hour session

This is a great opportunity for girls who are interested in pitching to learn the basics from a professional, and for those with experience to improve their skills

Pam Mazzarella Softball Bio
-Pam played for Brookfield HS (won a SWC and State championship there), Florida Atlantic University (where we were top 25 all 4 years I was there), with the Italian National Team for one year, and in the Italian league for 7 years (won 4 national titles, and was a finalist in 2 Euro Cups). Pam coached high school softball at Boca Raton High in Florida, Ridgefield High in CT, have been giving private / group instruction in CT since 2006(Frozen Ropes, All Star Batting, Coastal CT Athletics, IST), coached with the Brewster Rockets for a bit, and ran a travel team for a few years (CT Panthers).

 

Christina Wolf-Gallo Softball Bio

College Experience-

Christina played at Southern Connecticut State University and was a captain and scholarship player her senior year.  She was as standout slugger and excelled at third base, catcher and outfield.   During her tenure at SCSU she was a 3-Time Northeast-10 conference commissioners honor roll selection, 2-Time Northeast-10 Conference softball all-academic team, 2009 Division II Athletic Directors Association Academic Achievement Award winner, NE-10 weekly Honor Roll, 2009 NE-10 player of the week, and lastly throughout her senior year in 2009 was ranked amongst top NE-10 leaders in batting average, RBI’s, doubles, total bases and hit by pitches.  She was second on her team in hits both her junior and senior year.  She also led her team in on base percentage her senior year.  After graduating from college, Christina had an opportunity to join AIST, which recruits college players to play in an overseas tournament, to play over in Belgium and the Netherlands.  Christina helped lead her team to capture Amsterdam Canal Series championship. During the tournament she went 6-for-19 with two triples, two doubles, two singles, and three walks. She also drove in a handful of runs along the way.

 Coaching Experience-

Christina is currently in her sixth year as an Assistant Varsity Coach at Stamford High School where she works with hitters, infield, pitchers and catchers.  Was an Assistant High School Varsity Coach at Career High School in New Haven, CT for two years.  Was the Head Coach for the CT Rebels U18 travel softball team.

Christina has a B.S. in Physical Education and a Minor in School Health.  She attended University of New Haven where she received her M.S in Management of Sport Industries.  She attended University of Bridgeport where she received her 6thyear degree in Administration.

pull hitting, hitting straight away, hitting to the opposite field
sacrifice bunt; square around and pivot technique
drag, push and squeeze bunt techniques
 
Fielding:
safe & proper technique for receiving ground balls
safe & proper technique for catching fly balls
complete fielding & throwing technique straight on ground balls
catching fly balls on the run; forehand, backhand
